Personal Reflection

        Creating the Casita Dreams booth concept and product idea involved a thoughtful process filled with both creative exploration and practical challenges. The first major obstacle was finding a suitable and meaningful theme that could represent SUKA Society’s mission of protecting and empowering vulnerable children. It was important to develop a concept that felt emotionally sincere, visually engaging, and relevant to the organization’s work. After exploring different ideas, the concept of a “casita” which indicates a small, safe home was chosen to represent healing, protection, and belonging for vulnerable children.

        Two products were selected to reflects the theme which are Casita Ice Stick and the Little Home Keychain. Some early challenges included linking the products to the theme and ensuring they were affordable and easy to produce in bulk. The ice stick's flavor variety and comfort factor helped tie it to childhood joy, while the keychain was designed to visually and emotionally reflect SUKA’s child protection mission.

        All in all, this experience demonstrated the importance of balancing creativity with purpose. Both products together helped deliver a message of safety, care, and empowerment, turning simple items into tools for awareness and impact. What began as a search for a simple product evolved into a meaningful representation of the cause.
